Admission Procedure Guidance

The age limit for a child to be admitted to LKG is that he/she should have completed three years of age by 31st July of the year in which admission is sought. For UKG, the child should have completed four years and for Standard I, five years by the same date.

At the time of admission, students will undergo a formal test to assess their standard and admission will be given purely on the basis of merit.

Applicants for KG admission must submit their original birth certificate and a photocopy of their Aadhaar for age and identity verification, respectively. Students seeking admission to other classes must provide a Transfer Certificate (TC) from their previous school.

​Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances after the student has been admitted.

All school vehicles are equipped with CCTV cameras for continuous monitoring and enhanced security.

A female attendant is present in every vehicle to assist students, especially younger children, ensuring their safety.

Each vehicle is supervised by a trained and responsible driver, holding a valid license and adequate experience.

Regular vehicle maintenance and safety checks are conducted to ensure roadworthiness at all times.

Uniform Rules for Our School Students

The school uniform of S.R.K.B.V. Matriculation Higher Secondary School reflects discipline, unity, and identity. All students are required to wear the prescribed uniform neatly and properly on all working days.

The uniform gives students a smart, formal, and disciplined look, promoting a sense of pride and belonging.

On Wednesdays, students are required to wear a special uniform.This uniform is mainly intended for physical activities, sports, and co-curricular programmes, ensuring comfort and flexibility.

At S.R.K.B.V. Matriculation Higher Secondary School, admissions are granted based on age, academic readiness, and availability of seats. The eligibility criteria are designed to ensure that students are placed in the appropriate grade level for effective learning.

Eligibility for Primary Classes ?

The minimum age requirement for admission is as follows:

  • LKG : Completed 3 years
  • UKG : Completed 4 years
  • Grade I : Completed 5 years

Age should be calculated as per the academic year norms prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility for Higher Classes ?

For admission to classes from Grade II to XII, the following conditions apply:

  • The student must have successfully completed the previous class from a recognized school
  • A valid Transfer Certificate (TC) must be submitted
  • Academic performance of the previous class will be considered
  • Students seeking admission may be required to appear for a basic entrance test
  • The test evaluates the student’s understanding in: (English, Mathematics, General knowledge (as applicable))
